Fond du Lac man charged in naked break-ins

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) — A Fond du Lac man accused of breaking into at least three homes while naked has been charged with eight felonies.

Prosecutors say 26-year-old Lucas Leffel walked into the homes through unlocked doors, and that he touched at least one adult female while she slept.

A judge set his cash bond Tuesday at $250,000.

According to court documents, Leffel entered four homes between late June and early August. He was arrested Saturday, and prosecutors say it was Leffel’s mother who turned him in after she found him in the front yard in his underwear early that morning.

Police say Leffel has acknowledged breaking into three homes, and they suspect him in a fourth case.

Online court records did not list a defense attorney for Leffel on Tuesday.
