Kenosha attorney to take spot on county bench

A Kenosha attorney has been appointed to replace outgoing Kenosha County Circuit Judge Wilbur Warren III.

David Wilk, of Guttormsen, Hartley, Wilk & Higgins LLP, will replace Warren once the judge steps down Aug. 18. Wilk practices family law, social security disability, worker’s compensation, business litigation and personal injury.

Wilk graduated from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul in 1994.

Warren has been on Kenosha County’s bench since 1997. Wilk, if he wants to stay a judge, will have to run for election in April.
