An Oshkosh lawyer and longtime member of the State Bar Board of Governors was elected Wednesday to be the board’s chairman.
Paul Swanson of Steinhilber, Swanson, Mares, Marone & McDermott was the sole nominee for the position. His nomination was approved by a voice vote at the BOG’s meeting.
He will succeed Chairwoman Sherry Coley, whose term ends Monday.
Swanson was a member of the BOG between 1987 and 1995, and from 2006 to the present. He also was the bar’s treasurer between 1994 and 1995.
