A Stamford, Conn.-based investment firm announced Monday that it purchased the 411 East Wisconsin Building in downtown Milwaukee, home to Quarles & Brady LLP since 1986.

Five Mile Capital Partners LLC bought the building for $74.3 million, according to a news release. The law firm’s lease was extended until 2025.

According to the release, the investment firm plans to make $17.5 million worth of repairs to the 30-story building, including renovations to the elevator system, heating and cooling system, lobby, roof and parking structures.

Quarles & Brady is the largest tenant in the building. The firm’s nameplate adorns the top of the building and its offices occupy the top eight floors.

Law firms von Briesen & Roper SC and Lindner & Marsack SC also have offices in the building.
