CHILTON, Wis. (AP) — A Wisconsin man has been sentenced to eight years in prison for killing two motorcyclists from Michigan in 2012.

Twenty-seven-year-old Clinton Lovelace of Hilbert was sentenced Thursday.

WLUK-TV reports Lovelace also was sentenced to 15 years extended supervision and seven years on probation.

Prosecutors say Lovelace was under the influence of drugs when he crossed the center line in Fond du Lac County, hitting a group of 10 motorcyclists. Two riders were killed and eight others injured.

As part of a plea deal, Lovelace pleaded no contest in September to charges of killing someone by negligent operation of a vehicle. He also made an Alford plea to separate reckless injury charges, meaning he did not admit he was guilty, but did agree prosecutors had enough evidence to convict him.
