Jenniffer Price is the newest bureau director at the Department of Justice-Division of Criminal Investigation.

Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen appointed her to oversee DCI’s Special Operations Bureau, which includes the Internet Crimes Against Children Program and Task Force; Homeland Security; Amber Alert; the Wisconsin Clearinghouse For Missing and Exploited Children and Adults; and more.

Price, a law enforcement veteran of more than 15 years, previously served for six years as the special agent in charge assigned to the DCI – Narcotics Bureau. For the past eight years, she has been assigned to Wisconsin’s ICAC Task Force, serving as the commander of the Task Force and DCI’s Computer Forensics Unit for the past three years.  She also has been a member, and is the current commander, of the Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Child Abduction Response Team.

Price, who started at the Department of Justice in 1999, began her law enforcement career as a police officer for the Wausau Police Department in 1997.

Her appointment is effective Dec. 2. She fills the position formerly held by Jody Wormet, who has been re-assigned as director of DCI’s Field Operations Bureau for the Western Region.
