The owners of a trailer park in Lodi were ordered Wednesday to pay $85,000 for violating environmental laws on three occasions, according to a news release from the state’s Attorney General’s office.

Crystal Lake RV Resort LLC, Morgan RV Resorts LLC and Morgan Management LLC violated the law in 2008, 2009 and 2010 when Department of Natural Resources staff found overflowing wastewater at treatment lagoons at the resort. The owners did not report the overflows and failed to take the proper steps to address the problem, then news release states.

The Attorney General’s office filed suit in October 2012, and Columbia County Circuit Judge Alan White ordered the companies to pay the fines, forfeitures and attorney costs on Wednesday.

The resort is now owned by a group that is working with the DNR to make sure the resort is not violating any environmental laws.
