A Milwaukee County jury found guilty a Milwaukee man who in March robbed a prosecutor outside her Bayview house.
Kenyatta Clincy, 23, robbed Assistant District Attorney Nicole Sheldon with a metal object Sheldon believed was a gun, according to a release from the state attorney general’s office. Clincy then fled in a car driven by co-defendant Montreal Freeman, according to the release.
When Milwaukee police caught up with Clincy later that night, they found the metal object, which turned out to be a lug wrench.
Clincy’s trial began Tuesday and ended Thursday when the jury found him guilty of robbery while armed with what the victim believed was a weapon. Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Glenn Yamahiro is scheduled to sentence Clincy on Nov. 14. Clincy faces up to 40 years in prison.
Freeman, 23, testified against Clincy during the trial. Freeman is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 31 on a charge of harboring and aiding a felon.
