CHILTON, Wis. (AP) – A nationwide warrant has been issued for a convicted bigamist who failed to appear in Calumet County Circuit Court on felony forgery charges.
Forty-six-year-old Tim Swinea is charged in Calumet County after his former girlfriend told authorities he had taken thousands of dollars from her business in a check-kiting scheme.
Swinea was released from the Marathon County Jail Aug. 1 after serving four months on bigamy charges. Swinea’s former wife, Dawn Paglini of Weston, learned that he was also married to a Missouri woman with whom he had three children.
The Daily Herald Media says a jury trial on the forgery charges scheduled for Sept. 4 has been postponed.
