Two Minneapolis attorneys who were disciplined for several infractions in separate cases earlier this year are now facing disciplinary proceedings in Wisconsin.

Peter Nickitas and Jordan Gall, who are licensed to practice in both states, were both disciplined by the Minnesota Supreme Court, according to documents filed Thursday by the Wisconsin Office of Lawyer Regulation. The OLR is now seeking disciplinary action from the Wisconsin Supreme Court for the allegations brought forth in Minnesota.

Nickitas, of Peter J. Nickitas Law Office LLC, was suspended for 30 days in May for bringing a claim in bad faith and making harassing and bullying statements toward an opposing attorney, according to the complaint.

Nickitas, who was admitted to practice law in Wisconsin in 1991, has been disciplined several times in the past 16 years. Most recently, he was suspended for 90 days in 2009 for multiple violations, including having sex with a client.

Nickitas did not immediately return a message left Tuesday afternoon.

Gall, who graduated from law school in 2010 and was admitted to practice in Wisconsin the following year, was publicly reprimanded by the Minnesota Supreme Court for violating his probation for a drunken-driving conviction and failing to notify state’s Board of Law Examiners of the violations, the complaint reads.

The attorney was later sentenced to 30 days in a Minnesota county workhouse.

Reached by phone Tuesday, Gall said he had not received the Wisconsin complaint. However, he said he thought “we would get it resolved amicably like it was in Minnesota.”

Both Nickitas and Gall have admitted to the allegations in Minnesota.
