A Kaukauna-based window, door and siding company will have to pay for violating the state’s No Call Law.

Creative Openings Inc. reached a settlement Tuesday with the Wisconsin Department of Justice. The company is forbidden from making calls to numbers on the state’s do not call list, and will pay $45,000 in fines, fees and costs.

The complaint said the violation occurred when the company failed to register some telephone lines as a telemarketer. The company went on to make hundreds of thousands of phone calls to Wisconsin residents who are on the state’s do not call list, according to a news release from the Attorney General’s office.

The case was prosecuted in Gwendolyn Cooley, assistant attorney general, with investigative help from the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.

The settlement still needs approval from the Outagamie County Circuit Court.
