Criminal Procedure — ineffective assistance

Andres Romero-Georgana appeals an order denying his Wis. Stat. § 974.06 postconviction motion without a hearing. The motion alleged ineffective assistance of trial and postconviction counsel because trial counsel failed to advise Romero-Georgana of the possibility of deportation upon his no contest plea to sexual assault of a child and his postconviction counsel was ineffective for failing to argue ineffective assistance of trial counsel on that basis. Because we conclude the circuit court properly denied the motion without a hearing, we affirm the order. This opinion will not be published.
