MADISON, Wis. (AP) – Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Vince Megna is calling on two others in the race to turn down any donations that come from outside the state.

Megna asked incumbent Justice Patience Roggensack and Marquette University law professor Ed Fallone to make a public pledge not to accept out-of-state money.

Megna’s plea comes after the filing of campaign finance reports last week that showed Roggensack had about $55,000 in the bank heading into January compared with about $6,900 for Megna and $5,400 for Fallone.

Roggensack’s total didn’t include $20,550 she received in late December from Fund for Parent Choice, a national group that advocates for private school vouchers.

Roggensack’s spokesman Brandon Scholz calls Megna’s request “a typical political attack from candidates who can’t raise money for their own campaign.”
