MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Two state Supreme Court hopefuls have filed nomination papers for this spring’s elections.
Candidates had until the end of Wednesday to turn in at least 2,000 signatures to the Government Accountability Board.
Supreme Court hopeful Ed Fallone turned in what he said were 3,246 signatures Wednesday afternoon. Lemon law attorney Vince Megna turned in what he said were 2,214 signatures. Fallone and Megna are trying to take Justice Pat Roggensack’s seat. She filed what she said were 4,000 signatures last week.
GAB officials have scheduled a primary for Feb. 19. The general election will follow on April 2.
