The re-election of President Barack Obama can mean only one thing: Obamacare should move forward with all due speed.

Better known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010, Obamacare will bring about major changes in the health care industry.

With change comes need of lawyers to not only figure out what those changes mean to a practice, doctor or hospital, but to help guide said entities through the niceties of the inevitable government labyrinth of rules and regulations.

Already there have been changes in reporting requirements by physicians and physician groups, there have been new rules imposed, and as this moves forward even more changes will come to the health care field.

Not to mention what will be the consolidation of the health care industry, as evidenced by ongoing negotiations between Henry Ford Health System and Beaumont Hospitals.

Rest assured, there’s an army of lawyers parsing through every regulatory and business operation document of each of these organizations.

Be assured there will be more opportunities for attorneys well-versed in medical business operations and the myriad and growing rules and regulations arising from the implementation of Obamacare.
