The Milwaukee Bar Association honored a law student, a longtime attorney and a Milwaukee firm Wednesday at its annual Pro Bono Publico awards.

Recognizing outstanding commitments to pro bono work, the bar lauded Maria Lopez, a third-year Marquette law school student and one of the founders of the Marquette Immigration Law Association; Hannah Dugan, an attorney with 25 years of experience and an active participant in increasing access to justice; and Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren SC, a Milwaukee-based firm with a strong commitment to pro bono work.

The awards were presented Wednesday at the MBA’s 9th annual State of the Court Luncheon at the Wisconsin Club in Milwaukee.
