The Wisconsin Legislative Reference Bureau recently released the third edition of the Legislative District Almanac.
The almanac “is designed to provide legislators, other policy makers, and citizens with demographic data on Wisconsin’s 33 state senate districts and 99 assembly districts.”
The online edition is a searchable .pdf document with clear and easy-to-read graphics.
Each district is represented as a chapter of the almanac. Within a chapter, researchers can find a district map and various data tables/graphs.
“Tables provide information on sex, veteran status, and population living in group quarters. The charts and graphs depict race and ethnicity, age, educational attainment, employment status, benefits, occupation, industry, income, gross rent, housing occupancy, and the value of owner occupied housing.”
Interested in comparisons? The 2004 edition is still available online. One thing I did like about the prior edition that I cannot locate with the new publication is the ability to quickly link just to a specific district’s information.
