Sentencing — judicial bias

Timothy T. Carter appeals from judgments entered upon his guilty pleas to two counts of armed robbery with threat of force as a party to each crime. He also appeals from orders denying his motions for postconviction relief. Carter seeks sentence modification, alleging that the circuit court made a racially discriminatory remark at sentencing, deprived him of the effective assistance of his counsel and did not adequately explain or justify its sentencing decisions. We reject his arguments and affirm.
