Black River Falls (AP) — Two men suspected in a crime spree after walking away from a Wisconsin correctional center still are on the run Friday.

Authorities say the fugitives stole a shotgun after fleeing from the Black River boot camp Tuesday, stole several vehicles and kidnapped and robbed a woman at a Black River Falls casino.

Jackson County sheriff’s officials say the two commandeered the woman’s SUV and forced her into the back seat at gunpoint. The woman told investigators the men asked her how to get to the interstate because they wanted to go to Minnesota. They drove to Tomah, then Sparta where the men stole a pickup truck. At some point, the woman escaped.

The Star Tribune reported State Patrol troopers pursued the men after spotting them on I-90. The fugitives abandoned the pickup and ran into a cornfield.
