Madison attorney Pat Fiedler, of Axley Brynelson LLP, won the race for president-elect of the State Bar of Wisconsin.
Fiedler, a former Dane County circuit judge, received 3,767 votes versus his opponent, William White, of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, who received 1,532 votes.
Fiedler’s term begins July 1.
In other bar election news, Stevens Point attorney Thomas Bertz, of Anderson, O’Brien, Bertz, Skrenes & Golla, was re-elected to a three-year term on the Wisconsin Judicial Council. Bertz received 2,217 votes and defeated Madison attorney Christine Rew Barden, of Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren SC (1,405 votes) and Hudson attorney Nicholas Vivian, of Eckberg, Lammers, Briggs, Wolff & Vierling PLLP (1,199 votes).
Rhinelander attorney Jennifer Ann Stuber, of Hogan & Melms LLP, won a two-year term as secretary.
Seventeen members were elected or re-elected to the Board of Governors, where they will serve two-year terms.
