WHITEHALL, Wis. (AP) — Trempealeau County Circuit Judge John Damon has dismissed a child abuse charge against a coach accused of burning his players with dry ice.
Prosecutors in Trempealeau County charged 42-year-old Brady Olson with the felony and misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Olson coaches the seventh-grade girls basketball team in the Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau School District.
Olson, who’s also a high school chemistry teacher, said he brought the dry ice to practice for a demonstration to make it “fun for the girls.”
The La Crosse Tribune says Olson remains on paid administrative leave. He plans to contest the disorderly conduct charge.
