MBA to host judicial forum

The Milwaukee Bar Association will host a judicial forum Feb. 1 featuring candidates in two contested races for Milwaukee County Circuit Court.

Branch 17 Judge Nelson W. Phillips is being challenged by Glendale attorney Christopher Lipscomb, Sr. of the Lipscomb Law Office, and Carolina Maria Stark, Administrative Judge, Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.

The race for the open Branch 23 seat pits Milwaukee attorney Hannah Dugan of the Law Offices of Hannah C. Dugan LLC, against Lindsey Grady, Deputy Register, Milwaukee County Probate Division.

Also scheduled to participate in the forum is Mark Sanders, Assistant District Attorney, Milwaukee County, who is running unopposed in Branch 28.

The forum, scheduled from noon to 1 p.m., is open to MBA members and the general public. All candidates have been invited to participate in the moderated forum, and the format will allow for audience questions submitted to the moderator.

Seven unopposed circuit court incumbent candidates will also be in attendance, but will not directly participate in the forum.
