Criminal Procedure — self-representation

Richard Dale Mason, Jr. appeals the judgment entered after a jury found him guilty of burglary of a building or dwelling. See Wis. Stat. § 943.10(1m)(a). He also appeals the adverse part of the trial court’s order denying his motion for postconviction relief. Mason argues that the trial court erred “by denying [his] repeated requests to represent himself.” We reverse and remand for further proceedings consistent with this opinion. Publication in the official reports is not recommended.
