Walker appoints veteran DA to Brown County bench

Gov. Scott Walker on Wednesday appointed veteran Brown County District Attorney John Zakowski to the county’s circuit court bench.
Zakowski replaces Branch 6 Judge J. D. McKay, who retired last month after 15 years. Zakowski became Brown County district attorney in 1986. He previously worked as an associate at Nelson and Schmeling in Green Bay.
