Gov. Scott Walker has appointed Judge Frank Remington of Madison to serve as judge for the Circuit Court of Dane County Branch 8 and Roger Allen to serve as a judge for Branch 11.
Remington brings more than 25 years of experience in law to the bench.
Remington began his law career as a Law Clerk for the Wisconsin Supreme Court before becoming an associate at a Madison law firm and then an Assistant Attorney General at the Wisconsin Department of Justice. In 2007, he became a Municipal Judge in Shorewood Hills. As a judge, he has presided over litigation involving the traffic code and village ordinance citations.
Remington also won the United States Office of Inspector General Integrity Award in 2008 and is a periodic volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
Allen served as the Assistant City Attorney in Madison since 1996.
Allen received a Bachelor of Science degree from UW-Platteville and doctorate from the University of Wisconsin Law School. He served as a special agent for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, and as a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney’s office. He was also an Associate Attorney and litigator for a private law firm in Madison.
