Who’s Doing What: New hires at Di Renzo & Bomier, Bakke Norman

Tamara Skoglund has joined Bakke Norman SC, with offices in Baldwin, Menomonie and New Richmond. As a member of Bakke Norman’s tax and business law team, Skoglund’s areas of practice include tax law, corporate/business law and civil litigation.

In addition to being an attorney, Skoglund also is a certified public accountant. She is a graduate of Hamline University School of Law.

• Jim O’Shaughnessy has joined HarQen Inc., Milwaukee, as its chief intellectual property officer. O’Shaughnessy, a former partner with Foley & Lardner LLP, brings more than three decades of strategic expertise to HarQen’s intellectual property initiatives. He earned his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1977.

• Michelle Swardenski has joined Di Renzo & Bomier LLC, Neenah. She will focus on family law, guardian ad litem, real estate and general civil litigation and appeals. Swardenski earned her law degree from the University of Colorado-Boulder.

• Jonathan Hackbarth, an associate in Quarles & Brady LLP’s Milwaukee office, has been appointed to serve on the City of Milwaukee’s Standards and Appeals Commission. Appointed by Mayor Tom Barrett and confirmed by the Common Council, Hackbarth rounds out the seven-member board, which rules on matters relative to city building codes, electrical licenses and the use of new or alternative materials. He will serve a three-year term.

Hackbarth practices in the areas of general civil and commercial litigation. He received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

• Brad Dallet, a shareholder with Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek SC, Milwaukee, received the 2011  Affiliate of the Year award from the Commercial Association of REALTORS Wisconsin. Dallet is a shareholder in the firm’s Milwaukee office and the chairman of the real estate practice group. He received his law degree, cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
