MADISON, Wis. (AP) – Wisconsin’s Supreme Court justices plan to discuss polices on concealed weapons in their state Capitol chambers next month.

The state’s new concealed carry law goes into effect Tuesday. The statutes generally prohibit the public from bringing hidden weapons into courthouses, but allow judges and prosecutors to go armed.

Gov. Scott Walker’s administration is expected to release its policy on weapons in the Capitol later Friday. Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald said the policy will allow weapons throughout most of the building but bar them in the Supreme Court.

Court spokesman Tom Sheehan said the justices will flesh out their policies during a Nov. 7 conference.
