Wis. governor appoints Harper as new Richland County prosecutor

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker has appointed a new district attorney in Richland County.
Walker named Jennifer Harper to replace Andrew Sharp. The governor appointed Sharp to a judgeship in the county last month.

Walker said Harper has served as an assistant district attorney for the past 11 years in Richland, Monroe and Sauk counties. She also has served as a Richland County Circuit Court Commissioner since 2008. She holds a law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
