Gov. Scott Walker’s office is seeking applicants for two judicial vacancies in Wisconsin.

The first is in the District 3 Court of Appeals, to replace Judge Ed Brunner, who retired Sept. 6 after four years on the bench. Previously, he served as a Barron County Circuit Court Judge from 1988 to 2007.

Brunner’s term was set to expire July 31, 2013. District 3 covers 35 counties in the northern part of Wisconsin and is headquartered in Wausau.

The second position is for the vacancy created on the Racine County Circuit Court bench after the death of Judge Dennis Barry. The veteran judge died Aug. 18.

Barry had been re-elected this spring to a six-year term after running unopposed in the April 5 election.

Applications are due Oct. 3.
