For the past several years, Eric Knobloch has gotten to do something he truly enjoys: “helping injured people put their lives back together.”
As a personal injury attorney with Warshafsky Rotter Tarnoff and Bloch SC, Knobloch has worked on eight trials in the past four years.
“It is a very high number for someone just four years out of law school,” acknowledged Knobloch, 31. “But I’ve had the good fortune to have cases that go to trial. A lot of cases settle at mediation. But you have to go to trial if you feel strongly about your case and your client and mediation might not work. There are not a lot of [lawyers] left that will to go to trial.”
Going to trial gives the injured clients he represents a little bit of hope, peace and justice, he said.
One case that stands out was aiding a Spanish-speaking man from the Dominican Republic who was severely injured and relied on Knobloch for help.
“He had lost his job and I was his sole way to help him get a little bit of money and get him back on his feet,” Knobloch said. “I was able to do that at trial.”
