Municipalities
Liquor licenses; suspension; notice and hearing; sufficiency of the evidence

Lady Bug Club, LLC, which operates a nightclub in the City of Milwaukee, sought to renew its tavern license. The City’s Common Council granted the renewal, but imposed a 60-day suspension, based on complaints from neighbors and incidents requiring police involvement. Lady Bug challenged the Council’s decision, arguing that the Council’s proceedings were flawed in various ways. On review, the circuit court affirmed the Council’s decision. We agree with the circuit court that Lady Bug fails to show that the Council’s decision warrants reversal. Accordingly, we affirm. Not recommended for publication in the official reports.
