Sheboygan teen accused of assaulting 7-year-old girl

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) — A Sheboygan teen is accused of forcing a 7-year-old girl to have repeated sexual contact over the course of several years.

Eighteen-year-old Donavan J. Stuefen was charged Tuesday with repeated sexual assault of the same child. The charge carries a maximum prison sentence of 40 years.

A Sheboygan Press report says the girl is now 12 years old. She told police that Stuefen first forced her to touch him sexually about five years ago. She said he also forced sexual intercourse at least six times.

Stuefen is charged in adult court, although it’s not clear whether any alleged assaults occurred since he turned 18 three weeks ago.

Online court records didn’t list an attorney for Stuefen on Wednesday. He’s scheduled for a status conference and preliminary hearing next week.
