LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) — An Onalaska woman accused of punching an officer in the groin and biting him is due back in La Crosse County Circuit Court Tuesday.
Police say the La Crosse officer used his Taser twice to subdue the woman last Saturday while she tried to escape from a squad car. According to a police report, the 18-year-old woman had been picked up on a warrant and was being taken to jail when she wiggled out of her hand cuffs. The officer transporting her pulled over when the woman said she was sick. Authorities say that’s when the woman punched the officer and bit his forearm and thumb while screaming “rape.”
The La Crosse Tribune says the officer punched the woman three or four times in the face. She had two black eyes when she appeared before a judge Monday. Bond was set at $750 cash.
