GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) — A 29-year-old man charged in a deadly crash in Great Falls has pleaded not guilty to vehicular homicide while under the influence.
KFBB-TV reports Loren Joseph Spottedeagle entered his plea Thursday for the June 3 crash that killed 23-year-old Jason Jowett of Black River Falls, Wis.
Prosecutors allege Spottedeagle was driving a minivan that rear-ended a pickup truck, causing a crash that killed Jowett, a passenger in the pickup.
Witnesses told officers Spottedeagle had been kicked out of a bar and hit a car in the parking lot just minutes before the fatal crash.
His trial is set for Sept. 26.
