Supreme Court won’t hear Jensen appeal

By: Associated Press//June 17, 2011

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Supreme Court won’t hear Mark Jensen’s appeal of his conviction for killing his wife.

The state Court of Appeals’ decision in December upholding Jensen’s 2008 murder conviction will stand. The 51-year-old Jensen is serving a life sentence for poisoning his wife, Julie Jensen. He was convicted a decade after his wife’s death after a long criminal investigation and years of legal delays.

Jensen’s attorneys argued a letter written by Julie Jensen, in which she expressed fear that her husband was trying to kill her, should not have been admitted.

Defense attorneys Terry and Christopher Rose tell the Kenosha News they’re surprised the Supreme Court failed to take the case.
