GIBBON, Minn. (AP) — A Lutheran minister has been charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct for allegedly molesting a high school foreign exchange student staying at his home.
The Rev. David Radtke of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Gibbon was charged in Sibley County. The Star Tribune reports he was arrested Monday while working at a Lutheran church in Clyman, Wis.
According to the criminal complaint, he was giving the 16-year-old girl from Madrid a massage on May 17 when she fell asleep. She allegedly woke to find him molesting her inside her underwear. The complaint says the minister, his wife, and son all approached the girl and asked her to forgive him.
The girl has left the home. Messages left on Radtke’s home and cell phone were not immediately returned.
