Kenosha priest charged with 2 misdemeanors

KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) — A Kenosha priest is charged with two counts of unlawful use of a telephone.

Father Michael Nowak pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanors Tuesday.

According to a criminal complaint, Nowak took a 17 year-old girl from his parish to a movie, then later called her and asked her out again. In the court documents, the girl told police Nowak asked her to “wear a low cut shirt to show off your ‘cha-chas.'”

WTMJ-TV reports a 14-year-old girl told police Nowak called her and asked if he could perform oral sex on her.

Nowak was ordered not to come within 500 feet of either alleged victims.

Nowak is on administrative leave from St. Therese of Lisieux.
