Walker to replace 4 veteran judges

The retirement of four veteran judges prompted Gov. Scott Walker on Wednesday to seek applicants for the vacancies.

After 21 years on the appellate bench, Second District Court of Appeals Judge Dan Anderson will retire on June 25, more than two years prior the expiration of his current term.

Also stepping down is Manitowoc County Circuit Court Judge Darryl Deets on June 24 and Richland County Circuit Court Judge Ed Leinweber on June 30.

Outagamie County Circuit Court Judge Harold Froehlich retired on April 8.

Applications are due by June 1, after which time Walker will make his selections for the positions.
