MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A federal judge has sentenced a drug dealer to 20 years in prison for providing the heroin that killed a woman in central Wisconsin.
Prosecutors say 46-year-old Richard Crayton, formerly of Wausau, sold heroin to another person who gave it to Nicole Hedges. The 29-year-old woman was found dead at the Haven Shelter home in Merrill last May.
Crayton was convicted by a jury Feb. 3 after a two-day trial in Madison. The Wausau Daily Herald says he was sentenced by Judge Barbara Crabb Thursday.
