CHILTON, Wis. (AP) — Prosecutors in Calumet County have charged two men with fatally beating another man during a night of drinking.
Police say 37-year-old Joseph Baer of Manitowoc was beaten to death with an object, probably a hammer, at a farmhouse south of Brillion Saturday.
Thirty-three-year-old James Loewe of Hilbert and 29-year-old Robert Sauerbier of Manitowoc are charged with party to first-degree intentional homicide.
According to WLUK-TV, Loewe is also charged with bail jumping.
