MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Incumbent Justice David Prosser says he’s not the cause of the bitter infighting that has consumed the state Supreme Court.
Prosser faced challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg during a forum Tuesday in front of the Dane County Bar Association. Asked how he could improve civility on the court, Prosser responded by defending himself, saying anyone who knows him knows he’s not the source of the conflict.
He said liberal-leaning members of the court are trying to make him look bad for politics’ sake and things will improve after the April 5 election.
Kloppenburg said she will work to restore collegiality by focusing on other justices’ positive traits.
