3 arrested in child prostitution ring

WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) — Three people from central Wisconsin have been charged in a statewide prostitution ring.

Prosecutors say three 17-year-old girls told police they worked as prostitutes for the trio. According to a criminal complaint, the girls were taken to Milwaukee, Green Bay, Appleton and Wausau to have sex with customers.

One teen said she was paid about $150 from each of four customers last week. She said the money was split between her and the three defendants.

The Wausau Daily Herald said 19-year-old Darrell Vaughn, 18-year-old Nicole Riehle and 27-year-old Barbi Metzger, all of the Wausau area, have each been charged with three counts of enticing a child for prostitution and soliciting a child for prostitution.

  1. it will be really sickening if these scumbags get off on these charges.

  2. Let’s be real. Two of the “defendants” are 18 and 19, while the “victims” are all 17. Don’t tell me that the 17 year olds didn’t know what they were getting into. Somehow we’ve developed this magic line at age 18, Before that kids aren’t responsible for there actions. After that they’re not only responsible for their own actions, but also for the actions of the people that they’re with. Sure, charge the ‘adults’, but the girls should also be charged with solicitation/prostitution.
