March Madness is on once again, but this has nothing to do with college basketball.
U.S. News and World Report on Tuesday released its annual ranking of fully accredited American Bar Association law schools. The University of Wisconsin Law School fell seven spots from No. 28 last year to a tie for No. 35 this year.
Two years ago, Wisconsin was also ranked No. 35, up from No. 36 the year prior.
Meanwhile, Marquette University Law School rejoined the top 100, at No. 95, after falling off the list last year. The law school ranked No. 87 in 2009.
Marquette opened its new $80 million law school last fall, although the rankings emphasized admissions selectivity, successful job placement for graduates and faculty resources are primary factors.
Law schools must be accredited and fully approved by the ABA and must draw most of its students from the United States to be included in the U.S. News rankings.
