In a collaborative effort with Caffeine Communications, Warshafsky Law Firm presented “Don’t Risk It”, an online and offline cause campaign to prevent drunk driving. This campaign was recognized by PR News’ Legal awards as the best Social Media & Online campaign of the year. The award further supports Warshafsky’s innovative efforts to make a positive difference through meaningful awareness campaigns that aim to create nothing more than a safer place for Wisconsin residents to live, work and play.

Warshafsky’s primary message behind “Don’t Risk It” was to reduce drinking and driving incidents on Halloween, one of the most common holidays for drinking and driving. To reduce accidents and prevent drunk driving, those who visited Warshafsky’s Facebook page and pledged to not drink and drive were given a cab code for a free ride home. For each pledge, Warshafsky donated one dollar to Mothers Against Drunk Driving. To further illustrate the dangers of drunk driving and to drive traffic to its facebook page, Warshafsky placed crashed cars in high traffic areas across Milwaukee to bring attention to what can occur when you drink and drive. The response was overwhelming as over 800 rides were given on Oct. 30, 2010.

Caffeine Communications and Warshafsky Law have been invited to receive their award and to discuss story telling through social media in Washington, DC on March 8 at The National Press Club.
