Former State Representative Joe Handrick has joined the Government Relations Team at Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren. Handrick will work out of Reinhart’s Milwaukee and Madison offices.

Handrick served in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1995 to 2001. Subsequent to his legislative career, Handrick worked as a consultant and in government relations. For the past five years, Handrick has served as town chairman in the Town of Minocqua.

Handrick joins the Reinhart Govern-ment Relations Team.

Foley & Lardner has been recognized by The BTI Consulting Group as one of an elite group of firms serving the Fortune 1000 in the delivery of exceptional client service, ranking seventh on The BTI Client Service 30 list. The BTI Client Service 30 identifies the very best of those firms featured in the recently released 2011 BTI Client Service A-Team Report. As part of the report, Foley was also honored for having been on this list for eight years, which includes securing the number one position on the list last year.

The BTI Client Service 30 represent the Top 30 firms among the 650 core law firms serving large and Fortune 1000 clients. BTI’s rankings are based on individual interviews conducted by BTI with nearly 300 corporate counsel at Fortune 1000 companies to determine the 30 firms who make the list.

The Rotary Club of Milwaukee (RCM) has created a new prestigious award for members who have demonstrated a lifetime of excellence in leadership and service, named the RCM Lifetime Achievement Award.  Long-time Rotarian and Milwaukee community leader, Harry F. Franke, has been selected the first recipient of this award.

The Lifetime Achievement Award honors the significant lifetime achievements of a club member who has made lasting contributions to the culture of the club, the local community and Rotary International.

Considered by RCM members to be the “ultimate Rotarian,” Franke has been a member of the club for over 50 years. Through the years Franke has served as the club’s president (1974-1975), District Governor (1979-1980) and star recruiter, personally bringing in over 100 new members, 30 of which are active today.  He practiced law for more than 50 years and remains Of Counsel to his firm, Cook & Franke.

In addition, Rotarians and community members who donate $1,000 or more to the Rotary Club of Milwaukee Trust will now be recognized as Harry Franke Fellows.
