Attorneys file notice in parking garage panel collapse

Attorneys for the family of the teenage boy killed and two others injured in the O’Donnell Park parking structure accident have filed a notice of injury against Milwaukee County and the City of Milwaukee.
The notice, which did not specify damages, is a precursor to a lawsuit, which Cannon & Dunphy attorney William M. Cannon expects to be filed once the firm completes its independent investigation of the accident.
“We are still awaiting some investigation results,” he said in an interview. “This notice is nothing more than a preservation of rights to pursue any and all claims that become available.”
On June 24 a 13-ton concrete panel fell off the downtown parking structure and killed 15-year-old Jared Kellner and injured Kellner’s friend, Eric Wosinski, and Wosinski’s mother, Amy. The notice of injury was filed Oct. 7.
