DeWitt Ross & Stevens SC announces the addition of Olivia M. Kelley to the firm’s Litigation, Business and Tax Practice groups. Kelley is an associate attorney in the Brookfield office.

She graduated from Marquette University Law School in 2009.

The firm also announced the addition of S. Mike Murphy to the Litigation and Bankruptcy groups. Murphy joins the firm as an associate in the Madison office.

Murphy’s practice is focused primarily on bankruptcy law including business reorganizations under Chapter 11, individual and corporate liquidations under Chapter 7, and individual debt restructurings under Chapter 13. He received a his J.D. degree from Duke University School of Law.

Boyle Fredrickson has announced the election of Jay G. Durst to its board of directors. Durst fills the board position most recently held by firm co-founder Timothy E. Newholm. He earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1996.

The United State Senate confirmed William Conley to fill a vacant seat on the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, Senators Herb Kohl and Russ Feingold announced. The vote was 99 to 0 to confirm Conley to replace Judge Barbara Crabb, who retired after more than 30 years of service on the court. Conley, of Foley & Lardner LLP, earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1982.

Bell, Moore & Richter, SC announces that Laura M. Lyons has advanced to Director at the Madison law firm located at 44 E. Mifflin St. She concentrates her practice in the areas of insurance defense and worker's compensation defense. Lyons received her J.D. from Marquette University in 2005.

Daniel J. Posanski, Hamline 2003, has been promoted to partner at Dempsey, Williamson, Kelly & Hertel, LLP, Oshkosh, and continues to focus on general civil litigation, personal injury, and family law matters.

Legal Action of Wisconsin, Inc. announced that it is receiving a $10,000 donation from Foley & Lardner LLP in Milwaukee. The donation is the result of attorney fees recovered in a case won by Foley attorney David N. Farwell on behalf of a Legal Action client.

Legal Action of Wisconsin’s Milwaukee Office provides free legal services in a variety of civil legal matters to eligible applicants residing in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties.

The law firm of Godfrey & Kahn, SC is pleased to announce that shareholder Anthony S. Baish has been selected as the recipient of the 2010 Judge John W. Reynolds Community Building Award by the Eastern District of Wisconsin Bar Association (EDWBA). Baish and Jennifer Susek, co-chairs of the EDWBA Pro Bono Committee, will be honored for their work to expand the association’s pro bono efforts to improve the access of indigent parties to legal counsel in Eastern Wisconsin. The award will be presented at the EDWBA Annual Meeting on Thursday, April 29.

Baish, a member of the firm’s Litigation and Intellectual Property Practice Groups, has handled a wide variety of commercial disputes, concentrating on intellectual property litigation and complex commercial litigation. He earned his law degree from the University of Michigan.

Michael Best & Friedrich LLP welcomes Sansun Yeh, an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group. Prior to working at Michael Best, Yeh worked as a Wisconsin State Public Defender where she represented indigent clients at the trial and appellate levels.

Yeh received a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2009.

Foley & Lardner LLP announced that five of the firm’s senior counsel have been elected to partnership in the Milwaukee office. The new partners in the Milwaukee office are:

Scott D. Anderson is a registered patent attorney in the firm's Mechanical & Electromechanical Technologies and Green Energy Technologies Practices, and Food Industry Team. He earned his J.D. from Marquette in 1999.

Jeffrey S. Gundersen is a registered patent attorney in the Mechanical & Electromechanical Technologies Practice at Foley. Gundersen provides counseling relating to patent acquisition and enforcement, product design, and patent infringement matters and prepares intellectual property agreements, patent opinions, and due diligence opinions. He earned his J.D. from Marquette in 2000.

Robert J. Heinrich is a member of the firm’s Finance & Financial Institutions Practice. He concentrates his practice in representing issuers, hedge funds, underwriters and commercial banks in securitization transactions and other types of structured financings. He earned his J.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1998.

Jessica S. Lochmann is a member of the firm’s Transactional & Securities Practice. Lochmann practices general corporate and business law, with an emphasis in securities law, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. She earned her law degree from Harvard University in 2001.

Bartholomew F. Reuter is a member of the Insurance and Reinsurance Litigation Practice and the Insurance Industry Team. His practice focuses on insurance regulatory, coverage, and corporate transactional matters. He earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1999.

Brian W. Bauman has been elected to partnership in the Madison office. Bauman is a member of the Transactional & Securities, Private Equity & Venture Capital, and Commercial Transactions & Business Counseling Practices. He earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2001.
