Looking for the Dictionary of Occupational Titles? The Department of Labor replaced the Dictionary of Occupational Titles with O*Net. O*Net stands for the Occupational Information Network. The website is an extensive collection of resources. It combines data about various occupations, career tools, research reports, testing and assessment information, and customizable questionnaires. Some features listed by the website include:

  • Interactive web access to all the occupational information
  • Printable reports for the occupation of interest
  • Skills Search feature allows users to search for occupations that utilize selected skills

The site is quite dynamic. The homepage offers the user the option to conduct a simple occupation search or to build queries.

Still want to see the old dictionary? The revised fourth edition of the Dictionary of Occupational Titles is still available.
