These two adjectives probably best describe Melissa S. Kampmann, who balances a busy estate-planning practice with myriad community service.
Kampmann has handled a wide variety of succession, income and estate-planning, and trust and estate administration matters, ranging from simple wills, to multi-million-dollar, complicated estate plans.
“I enjoy my practice because it is intellectually challenging and I’m given the opportunity to work with families on a personal level,” she says.
As for volunteering, Kampmann has been active in her community since high school. Giving back to the community is important at her firm, “So coming here was a natural fit.”
Kampman is chairperson of the largest fundraiser for the Wausau YWCA; she’s a board member for Family Counseling Services; a committee member of the University of Wisconsin Alumni Committee of Wausau; and a member of the Bioethics Committee at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
