Axley Brynelson, LLP, Madison, announced the recent hires of Daniel P. McAlvanah, Jennifer A. Sornson and Colleen Flesher, as well as the promotion of Deb L. Sanders.
McAlvanah is an associate and member of the Litigation Practice Group and the Construction and Transportation Focus Group at Axley. His practice focuses on class-action litigation, commercial litigation, construction law and employment matters. He received his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2006.
Sornson and Flesher have been hired as legal assistants at Axley Brynelson.
Sander has recently been promoted to Office Services Facilities Manager. She has been with the firm since 1982.

Attorney’s David Weber and Ross Townsend were recently named partners at Liebmann, Conway, and Olejniczak & Jerry S.C.
Weber joined the firm in 2003 after spending several years as an Assistant District Attorney in Milwaukee. His practice is focused on complex litigation including business, intellectual property, product liability and injury cases. He is a 1999 graduate of Marquette Law School.
Townsend joined the firm in 2006. Ross’ practice focuses on consulting and litigating for large and small employers across the Midwest. Townsend graduated from University of Wisconsin Law School in 1987.

Bell, Gierhart & Moore, S.C. announced that Ann C. Emmerich has advanced to shareholder at the Madison law firm.
Emmerich concentrates her practice in the defense of civil litigation.

The law firm of Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. announced the appointment of Rochelle H. Klaskin, shareholder and member of the Corporate Practice Group, as managing partner of the firm’s Madison office, effective June 1, 2008. Klaskin becomes the firm’s first woman to serve as an office managing partner.
Klaskin joined Godfrey & Kahn in 1999. She focuses her corporate practice on mergers and acquisitions, general counsel advising, and private equity and venture capital transactions. She graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Theresa B. Laughlin, University of Wisconsin, 1995, has joined the law firm of Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. as an associate. She will be working in the firm’s Wausau office.

Burton (Burt) A. Wagner, shareholder in the health care department in the law firm of Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c., was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Wisconsin Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (WAHSA) at the association’s annual awards banquet on May 8, 2008 at the Country Springs Hotel and Conference Center in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Wagner, based in Reinhart's Madison office, has been serving as legal counsel for WAHSA for the past 25 years.
WAHSA developed the Hall of Fame as a means of recognizing those individuals who significantly contributed to the growth and development of WAHSA as an association.
